Cream Cheese Mousse Icing

Cream Cheese Mousse Icing

This is my special rich yet light cream cheese mousse icing or frosting. It can be used for many things including cake filling, icing for muffins, cup cakes, pastries, etc. It's fast and easy to make and everyone will rave about the taste!

Here is the video demonstration, followed by the detailed recipe and instructions.

Ingredients:

1 pound cream cheese
2 cups powder sugar
3 cups heavy whipping cream
4 to 5 big tablespoons of powder sugar

Equipment:

Stand mixer or hand mixer (paddle head & whipping head)
Spatula

Step by step instructions:

1. Make your whipping cream first. Please refer to my video on how to make fresh whipping cream. Make sure to refrigerate while we make the rest.

2. Take your room temperature cream cheese and add the powder sugar to it and with the paddle head mix them in your mixing bowl. I suggest cutting the cream cheese into smaller pieces so it mixes well with the powder sugar.

3. Now combine your cream cheese and whipping cream together in your mixer with the whipping head. Mix for 30 seconds or until well incorporated. Your cream cheese mousse icing is now ready to use. Refrigerate until you are ready to use it.

The photo above is a Pumpkin Cream Cheese Mousse Cake that I made for the holidays. It is great for Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah, Eid, Ridwan and other special holidays.

Enjoy desserts and pastries with this light fantastic taste of cream cheese mousse!

  1. Hi Nadia

    Thanks

  2. In the video you used butter but you didn’t write it in the ingredients
What is the right way the video or the instruction ?
If I used butter tell me how much

    • I’m not sure what you mean, I don’t use butter in my cream cheese mousse icing. Maybe it was another recipe?

  3. Hi Nadia, if I use Whipping cream instead of heavy cream for frosting, can I have the same result? Thanks :)

    • Heavy cream is better but you can still use whipping cream and it will be fine.

  4. Once the cake is decorated, am I correct in assuming that it must be refrigerated because of the cream cheese mousse icing?

    thanks

    • Yes, you are correct. It should go in the refrigerator. It can be left out for an hour max.
